HEALTHY MINDSET: Suzanne Derok with her new book that shows a way to wellness. by Warren Lynam

IN TODAY’S busy and complex world of endless distractions, a constant pressure to achieve often can result in burn-out.

Mooloolaba business woman  knows all too well the stress of all the pressure.

The former managing director of a consulting company in Sydney left the big smoke in search of better health and a more balanced lifestyle. She said while there was nothing wrong with setting goals, it did stress people out and affected all areas of their lives.

Ms Derok has just released her first self-published book, Rejuvency BodyHealth, which uses the principles of the ancient Indian health practice, Ayurveda.

Thought to be more than 4000 years old, Ayurveda consists of several health disciplines including diet, herbal medicine, yoga, massage, meditation and balancing of energies.

Ms Derok developed an interest in preventative medicine and natural health approaches 20 years ago.

She said she decided to write her book to help people reduce stress using natural health medicine and wellness programs and products.

“Many people are searching for natural health solutions to their health problems but don’t know where to turn,” she said.

“They understand there is a need

“No one size fits all and working with people on an individual basis is the issue.”

She helps train individuals and teams on how to improve and hone the way they approach health and their attitude to a healthy lifestyle.

“It’s all about learning what to do well, equally what’s not done well and changing what’s not done well, not repeating the same mistakes,” she said.
